Frequently Asked Questions:

1How does Halotherapy Work?
The method of Halotherapy consists of microscopic dry aerosol of Pharmaceutical Grade Sodium Chloride released into the salt room via a Halogenerator. Sessions run in 25 and 45-minute segments. Shorter more frequent sessions are recommended for skin irritations, while sessions of 45 minutes a few times a week aid to help other respiratory issues.
2How many treatments will I need?
Based on European clinical research, it is recommended that a course of treatment should be between 6-16 sessions over 4-8 weeks. This of course, depends of the nature of the condition. Maintaining your treatments will help to achieve long term results.
3What shall I wear for a Salt therapy treatment?
Wearing something comfortable is recommended. If you are targeting skin areas, shorts and tank top would be appropriate. The room is usually 68-73 degrees. Perfumes or colognes are not recommended. Electronic equipment, such as cell phones or tablets should be kept in the locker.
4Can I pick up germs while in the salt room?
Since salt is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral it creates a sterile environment and is self-cleansing. The room is also ventilated after each client.
5Are there any side effects for salt therapy?
Very rarely. It’s not uncommon to feel a tickle in your throat or experience draining of the nasal passages, which is the body working to eliminate excess mucous.
6When is halotherapy not recommended?
Avoid using halotherapy during the acute phase of any illness, such as; colds, flu, infections with fever, acute active tuberculosis, COPD in the third stage, cardiac insufficiency, drug or alcohol intoxication, spitting up o blood, uncontrolled hypertension and acute stages of any respiratory disease.
